Abstract in different language: The paper presents the usage of a cellular automaton (CA) in three-dimensional computer animations. The main goal is to achieve a fast, realistic motion of a set of bodies. In order to fulfil the demand of "reality" we try to employ the simulation methods based on physical laws. However, in scenes where different kinds of bodies (rigid, elastic and liquid) are animated together it is hard to find one universal paradigm for their simulation. Instead, we propose to use CA for simulating the liquid and the molecular dynamics (MD) method for other bodies. The paper describes the CA rules and its interaction with particles used in the MD method. Finally we present the animation algorithm (composed of CA, MD and visualization) distributed on networked Unix workstations.
