| dc.description.abstract | Tento článek diskutuje hypotézu, která klade do souvislostí vysoce kvalitní syntézu text-to-speech (TTS) v hlasových dialogových systémech s konceptem "uncanny valley". Představuje experiment typu "Wizard-of-Oz" se 30 dobrovolníky zapojenými do konverzací se dvěma syntetickými hlasy různé kvality. Článek dále shrnuje a interpretuje výsledek experimentu a dochází k závěru, že "TTS uncanny valley" efekt v dialogových systémech může být pravděpodobně potlačen pozitivním přístupem uživatelů vzhledem k novým technologiím. | cs |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The paper discusses a hypothesis relating high quality text-to-speech (TTS) synthesis in spoken dialogue systems with the concept of “uncanny valley”. It introduces a “Wizard-of-Oz” experiment with 30 volunteers engaged in conversations with two synthetic voices of different naturalness. The results of the experiment are summarized and interpreted, leading to the conclusion that the TTS uncanny valley effect in dialogue systems can probably be superseded and inverted by a positive attitude of the systems’ users toward new technologies. | en |
