Abstract: Cílem této práce bylo provést analýzu a porovnání britského seriózního a bulvárního tisku. Práce byla rozdělena na dvě hlavní části, na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části je rozebírána historie britského tisku, popis žurnalistického stylu a popis vybraných novin. V praktické části byly vybrány články různých novin a byly analyzovány a porovnávány jejich rozdílné postupy při tvorbě těchto článků.
Abstract in different language: The aim of this thesis was to carry out an analysis and comparison of the British serious and tabloid press. The thesis was divided into two main parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the history of the British press, the description of the journalistic style and the description of selected newspapers. The practical part then deals with different selected articles and their approaches towards reporting were analysed and compared to each other
