| Abstract: | Pohraniční město Cheb, které ve své minulosti zcela změnilo identitu z německé na českou, je dnes v souvislosti se společenským děním postihováno národnostně a občansky laděnými rozepřemi. Bez ohledu na změny, které se udály v česko-německých vztazích od roku 1989, na aktivní spolupráci města s německými sousedy, část obyvatel Chebu stále zaujímá v některých situacích vůči Němcům obranný, až nepřátelský postoj, který se pozorovateli zvenčí může jevit jako zcela nepodložený. Prostřednictvím jedné společenské události, která byla poznamenána radikálními nacionálními postoji je v práci zkoumán postoj dnešních Chebanů k sousednímu Německu a jeho obyvatelům, a vlivy, které na něj působí. |
| Abstract in different language: | Border town Cheb, which in the past have transformed completely its identity from German to Czech meets today national and civic minded disputes considering the social life. Irrespective the changes, which has been occurring in Czech German relations from 1898, and the active cooperation between the town and German neighbours, some inhabitants of Cheb still stands a defensive or even hostile stance against the Germans. This position may appear groundless. Via analysing one social event signed by radical nationalist attitudes and following reactions the attitude of current inhabitants of Cheb towards Germany and its inhabitants, and also influences on these attitudes are put under scrutiny in this work. |
