| Abstract: | Tato práce je zaměřena na problematiku příjmové nerovnosti ve společnosti. Teoretická a metodologická část popisuje charakteristiky, kterými lze měřit příjmové nerovnosti. Giniho index a Theilův index jsou představeny a analyzovány v první části práce. Jsou definovány důležitější nové indexy nerovnosti, které následně použijeme pro porovnání skupin obyvatelstva. Pak se snažíme objasnit, zda a jak věk, pohlaví, region a počet let ve firmě ovlivňují výši příjmů. Dělíme vzorek populace do skupin a měříme nerovnost uvnitř a mezi skupinami. Výstup této práce je založen na datovém souboru zaměstnanců v Argentině. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis focuses on questions of income inequality in the society. The theoretical and methodological section describes characteristics by which income inequalities can be measured. Gini index and Theil index are introduced and analysed in first part. More importantly new measures of inequality are defined. They are consequently used for comparison of population groups. We then try to clarify if and how age, gender, region and number of years in the firm influence the income. We divide the population sample to groups and measure the inequality within and among groups. Output of this thesis is based on a dataset of employees in Argentina. |
