Abstract in different language:	The aim of the paper is to analyse the Slovak public policies on the consensual provision of sexual services through the prism of Foucault’s governmentality, but also in terms of discourse and narrative analysis. The first part of this paper focuses on the perspective of governmentality and the techniques of power. This is presented in light of the established approach to prostitution and sex work through discourse and narrative analysis. The empirical section of this paper utilises content analysis of strategic policy instruments and further analyses expert interviews and open questionnaires of relevant stakeholders. The aim of this paper is to provide a new perspective on the Slovak public policy concerning the consensual provision of sexual services, which has been labelled “decriminalisation with the restrictive influence of the state”. In this paper, we argue that discourse and the narrative-focused approach can provide us with new insights into the analysis of power and sexuality in public policies.
