| Abstract: | Hlavní zájem práce se soustřeďuje na zvláštní aspekty vztahu mezi homérským básníkem (aoidem) a jeho publikem. Na pozadí homérských epických básní zkoumá různé funkce tohoto vztahu a ukazuje jejich blízkost ke smrti a umírání. Rozdělení narativního prostoru Iliady a Odyssey jak je strukturováno v práci reflektuje různé vztaženosti vůči smrti a sleduje hlavní témata homérské epické poezie. Cílem je poukázat na souvislosti mezi otázkou po původu homérských eposů a postmodernistickým prohlašováním smrti autora, známého ze stejnojmenného eseje Rolanda Barthese. Práce trvá na souměřitelnosti homérského publika a dnešního čtenáře ale zdůrazňuje neoddělitelnost čtení textu a tázání se po jeho původu. Prohlášení autora za mrtvého je jen dalším z možných diskurzů. Povaha autorství je lépe vyjádřena samotným tázáním. Lidskou přirozeností je tázání, včetně tázání se po původu textu. Proto jméno Homéra zůstává alespoň částečně živé jako modalita možného autorství. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis central concern is in special aspects of relation between homeric poet (aoidos) and his audience. On the background of Homeric poems itself it examines various functions of this relation and shows its proximity to death and dying. The diversification of the narrative space of Iliad and Odyssey as structured in the thesis both reflects diverse relationships toward the phenomenon of death and follows the most important subject matter of homeric epic. The aim is to show eventually the consequences between the question of the origin of Homeric epic widely known as Homeric question and postmodern claiming of the death of the author as is best known from Roland Barthes essay Death of the author. The thesis persists upon commensurability of homeric audience and today´s reader of Homeric epic but emphasizes inseparable reading of text and questioning its origin. The author can be claimed to be dead but only as another possible discourse. The nature of the authorship is better expressed by the question itself than by claiming his death. Human conditions are requiring the neccesity of questioning the text including asking about its origin. That is, according the thesis, why should the name of Homer stay at least half alive. |
