| Abstract: | Tématem bakalářské práce je jedna z největších bitev druhé světové války, bitva v Kurském oblouku. Ta představuje rozhodující střetnutí německých a sovětských vojsk na východní frontě v roce 1943. V první části práce je popsána situace před bitvou v německé i sovětské armádě, přípravy na válečná střetnutí a strategie obou stran. Detailně je vysvětlen německý plán útoku i sovětská obrana. Hlavní část práce se zaměřuje podrobně na samotnou bitvu, na její průběh, velitele a bojovou techniku zúčastněných stran. V závěru je popsán výsledek bitvy, její následky, válečné ztráty a její vliv na následující události druhé světové války. Cílem práce je posoudit, zda bylo v silách německé armády zvítězit, případně změnit poměr sil na východní frontě, pokusit se objasnit, co bylo příčinou neúspěchu německé armády a jaký byl dopad výsledku bitvy na další vývoj na východní frontě. Bakalářská práce vychází především ze studia odborné literatury vydané v českém a anglickém jazyce. |
| Abstract in different language: | The Bachelor's thesis deals with one of the greatest battles of the Second World War, the Battle of Kursk. It represents the decisive engagement of the German and Soviet troops on the Eastern Front in 1943. The first part of the thesis describes the situation in the German and Soviet Army before the battle, preparations for warfare and the strategy of both sides. The German attack plan and the Soviet defence are explained in detail. The main part of the thesis focuses on the battle itself, its course, commanders and the combat technology of the parties involved. In conclusion, the outcome of the battle, its consequences, wartime losses and its impact on the subsequent events of the Second World War are described. The aim of the thesis is to assess whether it was possible for the German Army to win or to change the force ratio on the Eastern Front, to try to clarify what caused the failure of the German Army and the impact of the battle on the subsequent course of events on the Eastern Front. The Bachelor's thesis is based mainly on the study of specialized literature published in Czech and English. |
