| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je představit zásadní milníky ve vývoji konceptu Odpovědnost za ochranu, podle kterého mají státy odpovědnost za ochranu vlastního obyvatelstva před genocidou, válečnými zločiny, etnickými čistkami a zločinům proti lidskosti. Pokud stát není schopný této odpovědnosti dostát, musí přijít na řadu mezinárodní společenství, které tento stát podpoří a v krajním případě použije nástroje VI. a VII. kapitoly Charty OSN. Dalším cílem je představit a vyhodnotit aplikaci konceptu Odpovědnost za ochranu v šesti vybraných případech. V první části této práce se zaměřuji na klíčové události, které vedly ke zformování konceptu Odpovědnost za ochranu do současné podoby. V druhé části provádím analýzu šesti vybraných případů, při kterých došlo k aplikaci tohoto konceptu a zda byla aplikace úspěšná. |
| Abstract in different language: | The aim of this bachelor's thesis is introduce the crucial milestones in development of concept Responsibility to protect. According to concept Responsibility to protect every state has its own responsibility to protect population from genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleanses and crimes against humanity. In case that a state is unable fulfill this responsibility, the international community is responsible to support this state and in a last resort to use instruments under VI. and VII. chapter of the UN Charter. The another aim is to present and evaluate the application of the Responsibility to protect concept in six selected cases. In the first part of this thesis, I focus on the key events that led to the formation of the concept Responsibility to protect into its current form. In the second part, I analyze six selected cases in which the application of this concept occurred and whether the application was successful. |
