Abstract in different language: With its title reminds the article of the ambiguous relationship between the Bohemian crown lands and the rest of the empire of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation since Emperor Charles IV in the Czech and German historical picture. However, the focal point is the jointly experienced Thirty Years’ War in Bohemia and the Empire. From a new German and European research perspective, the old religious war literature for the Empire as well as for Bohemia is to relativize and classifi es the “Bohemian survey” in the federal state -building processes of Europe. A historic peace research renewed in German historical studies explores the construction sites of peace throughout the Thirty Years’ War. Especially the classical Bohemian events around the Prague “Defenestration”, the fi gure of Wallenstein, and German and Czech journalism off er further research of peace opportunities.
