Abstract in different language: The phenomenon of witchcraft and witchcraft trials occupies a very important place in the history of Europe, both in the life of society, in the history of culture and mentality, as well as in the beliefs and history of law. The centre of witchcraft trials were the German lands, and the range of hunting was grad ually directed to the east. In this respect, we should also look at a very turbulent period in the history of Europe, namely the fi rst half of the 17th century, when a religious confl ict took place, such as the Thirty Years‘ War (1618–1648).
