Abstract in different language: Since the Middle Ages we have in our disposal reference which describe the fear of „undead” or „living dead“, who after their death used to rise from their graves on the local cemetery, to haunt and to harm the community. The fear of „living dead“ (Magia Posthuma) was extremely powerful, and hys teria frequently aff ected the entire community. It should be considered in what range and in what extent actions were taken against the evil deceased during the Thirty Years’ War (1618–1648).
