| Abstract: | Předkládaná bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vznik sálových počítačů a následný vývoj až k superpočítačům dnešní doby. V práci jsou popsány použité technologie a srovnání výpočetního výkonu v závislosti na stáří těchto sálových počítačů a superpočítačů. Následně je v práci popsán vznik paralelních superpočítačů, distribuovaných výpočtů a vysvětlen pojem počítačový cluster. |
| Abstract in different language: | This bachelor´s thesis is focused on the origins of mainframes and their following development to contemporary supercomputers. There are described the technologies used in computer production. A wide comparison of computational performance depending on the age of these mainframes and supercomputers was made. There is also described the birth of parallel supercomputers and distributed computing and the term computer cluster is explained. |
