Abstract:	Hlavním cílem této práce je seznámit se se základními chemickými látkami. Práce se zabývá jejich charakteristikou, příznaky zasažení, jejich využitím v průmyslu, ale i možným výskytem v běžném životě. Dále jsou zde popsány mechanismy účinku na lidský organismus.
Abstract in different language:	The main objective of this thesis is to familiarize the reader with the basic chemical substances. This thesis concentrates on their brief characteristics, on symptoms caused by contact with these substances, on their use in industry, on their occurrence in everyday life and on the mechanism of their effect.
