| Abstract: | Téma bakalářské práce se nazývá Bitva o Midway. Práce se zabývá popisem předválečného vývoje Japonského císařství a Spojených států amerických v Tichomoří, dále charakteristikou průběhu bitvy a příčinami japonského neúspěchu. Bitva o Midway proběhla od 4. do 7. června 1942 a hlavní námořní silou se staly letadlové lodě a letectvo obou zainteresovaných zemí. |
| Abstract in different language: | The topic of the bachelor thesis is the Battle of Midway. The work is focused on the characteristics of the events that preceded the battle itself, as well as on the process of the battle and then on the causes of the Japanese failure. In the Battle of Midway The Naval Forces of the United States clashed with the Imperial Japenese Navy for maritime supremacy in the Pacific. The battle took place from the 4th to the 7th of June 1942 and determined the future course of the war in the Pacific. |
