| Abstrakt: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rolí Ruska v zajišťování energetické bezpečnosti Evropské unie, a to konkrétně v otázkách ropy a zemního plynu. V současnosti je téma energetické bezpečnosti velmi diskutované, zejména díky přesrušení dodávek ruských energií v roce 2006 či 2009. V práci je nastíněn vývoj a současný stav energetické politiky EU, následně jsou popsány priority energetické politiky Ruské federace. Ukázány jsou také vybrané infrastrukturní projekty obou partnerů, které buď posilují evropskou energetickou bezpečnost nebo ji naopak mohou ohrožovat. V neposlední řadě tato práce popisuje vývoj spolupráce obou partnerů v energetické oblasti a nastiňuje možný vývoj role Ruska jako největšího dodavatele ropy a zemního plynu do EU. |
| Abstrakt v dalším jazyce: | Bachelor thesis ,,Russia as a topic of European energy security'' focuses on the role of Russian Federation as a main supplier of oil and natural gas to European Union. At the present time the topic of energy security in Europe is widely discussed especially due to cuts of Russian energy supply in 2006 and 2009. This paper offers closer look on cooperation between Russia and European Union in energy sector. Also energy policy priorities of both partners are described and compared. The primary goal of this thesis is to analyze the role of Russia in securing European energy security. The European Union is trying to develop energy policy based on lowering its energy consumption and increasing energy efficiency. But due to a constant lowering production of both oil and natural gas in EU Member States it is clear that dependency on import of resources from non-member states will increase. But European dependency on Russian resources is not one-way. Also Russia is dependent on European demand as the revenues from energy export are the main income for Russian government budget. Different projects to reduce threats of supply disruptions have been carried out by both partners. Russia diversified routes for energy to Europe so threats linked with the transit countries have been reduced. EU on the other hand seeks to connect energy infrastructure in Member States to be able to secure supplies from alternative sources in case of energy disruption. Finally, this paper is focused on Russian attempt to seek for new customer markets, particularly in Asia-Pacific region, and its possible impact on European energy security. |
