| Abstract: | Karcinom prsu je v současné době nejčastěji diagnostikovaným nádorovým onemocněním u žen v ČR. Díky zavedenému screeningovému programu dochází k častější diagnostice časnějších, tzn. ve většině případů operabilních a tím i kurabilních stádií onemocnění. Navzdory uvedenému ale i v dnešní době stále přicházíme do styku s pacientkami, u kterých je karcinom prsu diagnostikován v pokročilém, již inoperabilním stádiu. Nejen u těchto pacientek, ale u karcinomu prsu obecně, přistupujeme k jeho léčbě komplexně, tzn. s využitím několika léčebných modalit. Ve specifických případech, po jejich selhání (např. u hormonální terapie) nebo v případě terapeutických omezení (např. interní komorbidity pacientky), zůstává radioterapie často poslední možností k dosažení alespoň krátkodobé léčebné odpovědi u pacientek s neoperovaným karcinomem prsu.Výše zmiňované situaci odpovídala většina námi zkoumaných pacientek, u kterých i přes systémovou hormonální léčbu došlo k progresi základního onemocnění vedoucí k indikaci léčby ionizujícím zářením. |
| Abstract in different language: | Breast cancer is nowadays the most frequently diagnosed cancer disease among women in the Czech Republic. Thanks to the applied screening programme the disease is more often diagnosed earlier, mostly in operable curable stages of the disease. Despite this, even nowadays there are still patients who are diagnosed with breast cancer in later inoperable stages. As for such cases, or also breast cancer generally, we apply treatment complexly - with the usage of several medical modalities. In specific cases, when the modalities fail /e.g. hormone therapy/ or due to therapeutical limits /e.g. internal comorbidity/ radiotherapy becomes the last option to reach at least a short-term curative action for the patients with inoperable stages. The situations of the majority of the monitored patients in our survey corresponded with the above mentioned facts. In those cases, despite the systematic hormone therapy, the primary disease progressed, which led to the indication of radiotherapy. |
