dc.description.abstract-translatedYoung people born as generation Y hold posts of managers nowadays. This case study asks question how these young managers can appraise different situations and choose proper leadership style. A test called Leadership Judgement Indicator was used to evaluate this. It is based on situational leadership theory which claims that there is not any universal leadership style. Good leader needs to adapt his leadership style to exact situation. This test represents what kind of leadership style do respondents prefer and if they can assess different situations and tailor their leadership style to them. Due to this test, there are four main leadership styles with eight substyles. Test contains description of situations needing decision and evaluate correctness of respondent's answers. Managers of young Czech financial company completed this test. This company is about to hire many new team members and needs leaders who can help them to adapt to new work. Results showed strengths and weaknesses of group of young managers. Each of them had different preferences of leadership style, but there were common mistakes in this team. This was probably caused by lack of experience of respondents. Individual and group results were evaluated and there have been created recommendations for educating system. Finally, this case study show how Leadership Judgement Indicator can be used for this purpose.en
