Zabývala jsem se historickými okolnostmi, které vedly k založení Organizace pro osvobození Palestiny, jejím vývojem, stejně jako rolí Jásira Arafata v této organizaci a v celém palestinském odbojovém hnutí. V práci popisuji osobnost Jásira Arafata nejen jako vůdce ozbrojeného boje za osvobození Palestiny, ale i jako pozdějšího politika a diplomata, který byl klíčovou postavou mírového procesu na Blízkém východě.cs

dc.description.abstract-translatedIn my work I focused on the life path of Yasser Arafat. I dealt with the historical circumstances that led to the founding of the Palestine Liberation Organization, its development, as well as Yasser Arafat's role in this organization and all the Palestinian resistance movement. The paper describes the personality of Yasser Arafat as leader of the only armed struggle for the liberation of Palestine, but also later as a politician and diplomat who was a key figure in the peace process in the Middle East. In my work I focused on the life journey of Yasser Arafat. I dealt with the historical circumstances that led to the founding of the Palestine Liberation Organization, its development, as well as Yasser Arafat's role in this organization and all the Palestinian resistance movement. My thesis describes the personality of Yasser Arafat as leader of the armed struggle for the liberation of Palestine, but also later as a politician and diplomat who was a key figure in the peace process in the Middle East.en
