| dc.description.abstract | Příspěvek prezentuje výsledky studia vývoje a proměn podoby těžebního areálu u dolu Barbora a trestaneckého tábora Barbora/Vršek na Jáchymovsku. Vůbec poprvé jde o historicko-archeologický pohled na komplex využívající nesvobodné pracovní síly v letech 1949 až 1957, jehož hlavním cílem byla těžba uranové rudy určené k produkci atomové bomby v SSSR. Tento komplex byl po svém zrušení záměrně zbourán a planýrován, aby byly smazány stopy komunistického teroru. Paralelně s tím byly skartovány četné písemnosti, zvláště kartografického charakteru, jež by dovolily posoudit jak areály táborů a dolů vypadaly. Kombinací detailního studia dobových archiválií, leteckých snímků, informačních reportů americké tajné služby a archeologických metod se podařilo vymezit hranice areálů a identifikovat jednotlivé objekty, jež se zčásti podařilo funkčně definovat. Výsledkem je posouzení vývoje a změn prostoru od předválečného období do současnosti. Byly jasně definovány kulisy událostí, jež jsou známé z výpovědí svědků a historických pojednání. Předložený článek a mapy mohou posloužit nejen památkové péči, ale také k edukaci současné generace přímo v hornaté krajině Jáchymovska, jež byla zařazena na seznam světového dědictví UNESCO. | cs |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The paper presents the results of the study of the development and changes of the uranium mining area around the Barbora pit and the prisoner camp Barbora / Vršek in the Jachymov region (Czechoslovakia). For the first time ever, this is a historical-archaeological view of a complex using non-free labor in the years 1949 to 1957, whose main goal was the mining of uranium ore intended for the production of an atomic bomb in the USSR. After its abolition, this complex was deliberately demolished and planned to erase traces of communist terror. In parallel, numerous documents were shredded, especially of a cartographic nature, which would allow us to assess what the camp and mines looked like. The combination of a detailed study of archives, aerial photographs, information reports of the CIA and archaeological methods succeeded in defining the boundaries of the premises and identifying individual objects, which were partly functionally defined. The result is an assessment of the development and changes of space from the pre-war period to the present. The scenery of events known from witness statements and historical treatises was clearly defined. The presented article and maps can serve not only for the care of monuments, but also for the education of the current generation directly in the mountainous landscape of the Jachymov region, which has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. | en |
