dc.description.abstract-translatedThis article presents the data collected within the research frame of practical application princi- ples of the outsourcing in the Czech small and medium-sized enterprises. The survey was compi- led with support of Ministry for Regional Development with research project reg. n. WD-30-07-1 „Innovation Approach to the Solution of Disparities on Regional Level“. The aim of this project is: To define measures for decreasing inter-regional disparities and increasing economic efficiency in the sphere of economic development in the Czech Republic. It is expressed as the increasing contribution of a region to GDP or a better standard of living. Within the research frame among others was the problem of concentration production capability and strategy choice „make or buy“ solved. The basic question is: Is it better to make the process or activity in own business or to buy it from a supplier, and how? Managers of the firms have to made decisions with the interaction of the obviously successful companies‘ process, local custom, etc. As a result it is possible to use much ways and forms of the business structures from concentra- tion to cooperation. Strategies make or by present possibilities from vertical integration, clusters, joint ventures, partnership sourcing, preferred suppliers, traditional purchasing. The article deal with survey of reasons and experiences with practical application of outsourcing within strategy „make or by“ choice in Czech small and medium-sized enterprises in context new classification of economic activity NACE (Rev. 2.). It was prepared a special questionnaire which was distributed to the 1003 small or medium-sized enterprises of the Czech Republic. The main research ques- tions are: What is outsourcing in context of the small and medium-sized enterprises? What are the critical factors that affect the successful outsourcing projects? The aim of this research was the specification and evaluation of experiences in outsourcing application of the Czech small and medium-sized enterprises.en
