Abstract: This paper presents a solution of remote sensing data verification problem. Remote sensing data includes digital image data and metadata, which contain parameters of satellite imaging process (Sun and satellite azimuth and elevation angles, creation time, etc.). The solution is based on the analysis of special numerical characteristics, which directly depend on the observation parameters: sun position, satellite position and orientation. These characteristics are based on model-oriented descriptor, proposed by one of the co-authors of this paper. We propose two fully automatic algorithms for remote sensing data analysis and decision-making based on data compatibility: the first one uses vector data of the imaged area as a prior information, the second doesn't. After algorithms description we provide results of conducted experiments and explain appliance limits of the proposed algorithms.
