| Abstract: | Po tom, co si Saúdská Arábie vyžádala během irácké okupace Kuvajtu pomoc cizích nemuslimských vojsk, strhla se na ni lavina kritiky a zpochybňování její oddanosti islámským zásadám a role ochránce dvou svatých mešit. Vládnoucí rodina bývá označována jako zkorumpovaná a nelegitimní. Práce si klade za cíl zjistit, zda byly postoje saúdské vlády ke stěžejním událostem Blízkého východu od roku 1990 v souladu s islámem. |
| Abstract in different language: | After Iraqi invasion to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia requested assistance of non-Muslim coalition troops led by US. Since then the Saudi government is being widely criticised because of that decision. The legitimacy of the royal family is being contested for more then 20 years. The goal of the thesis is to find out, whether the political steps and stances of Saudi Arabia on key events that occurred in Middle East since 1990 were in accordance with Islam. |
