Abstract in different language: Abnormal resonance overvoltagesoccur due to the emergence of non-sinusoidal modes of bulk electrical networks. The considered type of overvoltage refers to durable internal overvoltages, which have characteristics that can exceed the maximum permissible magnitude with a certain correlation of the values of the parameters of the extra high voltage power transmission line 750 kV. A typical example of a non-sinusoidal mode of operation of an extra high voltage line is the mode of switching on the line to an unloaded autotransformer. The paper analyzes the effect of remanent magnetization of an unloaded autotransformer on resonance overvoltages. To remove the remanent magnetization of the autotransformer, a set of effective measures for suppressing resonance overvoltages has been proposed.
