Abstract in different language: The main subject of the article is the description of the Jewish settle‑ ment in the domains of the Klatovy and Plzeň regions around the mid‑1830s and its comparison with the situation in 1793. The comparison shows that the Jew‑ ish population in both regions increased by approximately 40% over a period of more than forty years. This usually happened in places where Jews were already living by the year 1793, but the increase was uneven. In some domains the Jewish population increased more, in some almost not at all, and in some cases it even decreased. The task for future research will be to investigate what role the owners or clerks in each domain may have played in the entire process.
