dc.description.abstractSpolupráce USA- EU vstoupila po nástupu nové americké administrativy prezidenta Baracka Obamy v lednu 2009 do nové fáze. Tato práce si klade za cíl zkoumat skutečně nové momenty a kvalitu v transatlantické spolupráci. Změna v prezidentské funkci USA byla spojována v Evropě s vysokými, až nerealistickými očekáváními v novou kvalitu a otevřenost vzájemného dialogu. Práce se pokouší popsat oblasti, kde dialog ona očekávání alespoň částečně splnil, a současně zmapovat místa, kde se zatím tyto ambice plnit nedaří. Studie se zabývá i příčinami, proč se vzájemná spolupráce nerozvíjí tak, jak si zejména evropští partneři představovali. Pokouší se stručně nastínit i složitý mezinárodní kontext, v němž se současný dialog EU- USA odehrává, zejména nástup nových důležitých aktérů, jako např. Čína. Práce si neklade za cíl hlubokou a všestrannou analýzu problematiky transatlantické spolupráce, spíše chce poukázat na některé aktuální momenty, které mohou v krátkodobé a střednědobé perspektivě významně ovlivňovat kvalitu této relace.cs

dc.description.abstract-translatedIn 2009 the cooperation between the USA and the EU entered a new stage after the succession of new American administration under the president Barrack Obama. This bachelor degree thesis aims to investigate these brand new moments and the quality of the transatlantic collaboration. In Europe, the change at the presidential post in the USA, was associated with high, even nonrealistic expectations concerning the new quality and openness of the mutual dialogue. This thesis tempts to describe the areas where the expectancy, as described above, has been at least partially fulfilled and cover the issues where on the other hand the ambition has not been satisfied. The study also focuses on the causes of the fact, that the cooperation does not evolve in such a way it was projected ? particularly by the European partners. Concisely outlined in this paper is also the complex international context of the EU ? USA dialogue, especially the entry of new important players (e.g. China). The objective of this bachelor degree thesis is not the creation of a deep and wide analysis of the issues related to the transatlantic partnership but is rather to point out some current moments which might in short and midterm perspective significantly influence the quality of this relation.en
