| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá dějinami iráckých ší'itů ve druhé polovině 20. století. Sleduje nejdůležitější fenomény spojené s politizací ší'itského duchovenstva, jakými byla konfrontace s iráckou státní mocí či angažmá části kléru v irácko-íránském konfliktu v 80. letech. První kapitoly práce se zabývají také vznikem demografického uspořádání irácké společnosti a vzestupem ší'itských náboženských center Nadžafu a Kerbelá. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis is focused on the history of Iraqi Shi'a Muslims in the latter half of the 20th century. It emphasises the most important phenomena related to the politicization of Shi'i clergymen, such as the confrontation with Iraqi goverments or the engagement of some clerics in the Iraq-Iran conflict in the 1980s. The first chapters of the thesis are aimed at the emergence of demographical patterns in Iraqi society and the rise of Shi'i religious centers in Najaf and Kerbela. |
