Abstract: The ray tracing technique is very often used for image synthesis because it gives the possibility to render specular objects. Many techniques have been developed for ray tracing acceleration, more or less sofisticated which, are generally speaking, not easy to implement. A simple method how to speed up primary and secondary ray tracing has been developed. The suggested method based on space subdivision method (not necessarily uniform) is convenient for scenes that consist of many small objects, resp. facets (for experiments only triangles can be used).
