Abstract in different language:	Východiskom technického vzdelávania na základných školách v SR sú odporúčania svetovej organizácie UNESCO z roku 1974 a koncepčné zámery rozvoja vzdelávania a výchovy, ktoré boli vypracované po roku 1990. Aj napriek tomu sa dá ľahko zistiť, že význam technického vzdelávania v SR nie je dostatočne pochopený a ani spoločensky docenený. Dokonca je možné pozorovať nežiaducu retardáciu výučby technickej výchovy. The source for technical education at basic schools in the Slovak Republic are recommendations of UNESCO organisation from 1974 and conception of education development worked out in the Slovak Republic after 1990. Despite the fact it can be easily find out, that the importance of technical education at basic schools in Slovakia is not estimated enough, nor appreciated properly in society.It can even be seen undesirable retardation of teaching of the subject technical education.
