| Abstract: | Tématem této bakalářské práce je rozdělení vypravěčských stylů a jejich vymezení s poukázáním na klíčové body pro jejich rozpoznání a na rozdílné výhody, které může daný vypravěčský styl přinášet. Práce je zaměřena na vypravěčské postupy ve vybraných dílech amerického spisovatele Johna Irvinga, část práce se tedy zaměřuje i na jeho život a dílo. Vypravěčské postupy jsou demonstrovány na třech vybraných knihách, konkrétně se jedná o díla Hotel New Hampshire, Modlitba za Owena Meanyho a Rok vdovou. Jednotlivé knihy jsou vybrány tak, aby se ve vypravěčských postupech neshodovaly. |
| Abstract in different language: | The topic of this Bachelor's Thesis deals with a division of narration modes and their definition, pointing out the key attributes for their classification and advantages they could bring. The work focuses on the narration modes in novels of American writer John Irving; thus, one part of the thesis describes his life and his work. The narration modes are demonstrated on three chosen books; more specifically on The Hotel New Hampshire, A Prayer for Owen Meany and A widow for One Year. Each individual book is chosen to demonstrate a different narration mode. |
