| Abstract: | V práci jsem se zaměřila na to, jakou roli hraje tělesná odlišnost při vytváření identity a do jaké míry určuje místo člověka ve společnosti. Jaké významy jsou přisuzovány tělesnému postižení a jak tyto představy formují identitu člověka s tělesným postižením. Orientovala jsem se především na genderové odlišnosti a vliv tělesnosti na partnerský život. To, že okolí vnímáme skrze tělesnost, skrze vzhled a přisuzujeme lidem tak určité vlastnosti, bylo stěžejní pro moji práci. Neboť právě tyto předsudky a stereotypy výrazně formují identitu člověka s tělesným postižením a samotné postižení není jen jev či příčina možného znevýhodnění, ale má širší kontext. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat, jakým způsobem se lidé s tělesným postižením vztahují k představám o mužství a ženství a jaký to má dopad na jejich partnerské vztahy. Jak vnímají přístup ostatních lidí a zda je tento přístup ovlivněn tím, že jsou na vozíku. |
| Abstract in different language: | In my thesis I focused on what role is playing physical difference when creating identity and how much determines human place in society. What values are attributed to physical disability and how these images form the identity of a person with disabilities. I focused mainly on gender differences and the effect of physicality on partner relationship. The fact that we perceive our surroundings through physicality and visage and ascribe people ascribe to certain characteristics because of that, was crucial for my work. Because those prejudices and stereotypes significantly form identity of a person with disabilities and disability itself is not just a phenomenon or cause of potential handicap, but has a broader context. The aim of the study was to explore how people with disabilities relate to images of masculinity and femininity and how this affects their relationships. How do they perceive other people's attitude and whether such an approach is influenced by the fact that they are in a wheelchair. |
