| Abstract: | Cílem práce je popis a zhodnocení jedné z nejvýznamnějších bitev americké občanské války. V úvodu práce se bude autor nejprve věnovat válečné situaci, která bitvě předcházela a také důvodům, které k občanské válce vedly. Z hlavní části bude práce dále již zaměřena na samotnou bitvu. Zde se bude zaměřovat jak na samotný průběh bitvy, tak také na zhodnocení příčin, které vedly k porážce konfederačních vojsk generála Leeho. V závěru se pak bude práce věnovat důsledkům vítězství vojáků Unie pro další průběh války. |
| Abstract in different language: | Thegoal of the thesis is description and analysis one of the most important battle of American civil war. In the introduction the author will pay attention to the war situation which preceded the battle and also the reasons that led to the civil war. The main part of the thesis will be focused on the battle itself. This part will be focused on both own course of the battle and the appraisal of reasons which led to the defeat of general Lee confederative troops. In conclusion the thesis will pay attention to the victory results of the Union soldiers in the following course of the war. |
