Abstract in different language:	The subject of my research work is the deformed pier in Portorož. Traditionally people gather on the beach of Portorož on New Year's Day to jump into the sea. But this year the ground of the pier slackened for a metre and sank to the slime sea floor. The pier was dimensioned for minor burdens and as being deformed now, it needs an improvement. The major reason for sinking is the laying the foundation which was not good enough. Laying the foundation on the sea level is an exacting work and as such I find it a big challenge for my study project. Some changes in the methdology of teaching are presented used in the modernised high school vocational program for a degree that are presented in the article. Emphasis has been made at the active role of students and to the introduction of some didactic systems, which use empirical, projekt based, research and exsperimental approach to the teaching. Temo, ki smo si jo izbrali za raziskovalno nalogo, je deformiran pomol v Portorožu. Običaj je, da se vsak prvi dan v letu, ljudje zberejo na portoroški plaži in tradicionalno skočijo v morje. Letos je bilo število skakalcev in gledalcev rekordno. Temelji pomola so popustili in se pogreznili v muljasta tla za slab meter. Pomol je bil dimenzioniran za manjše obremenitve, zato je zdaj deformiran in potreben rekonstrukcije. Vzrok je tudi slabo temeljenje. Za to nalogo smo se odločili, ker je temeljenje v morsko gladino težje in mi predstavlja izziv za moje projektno delo. Projektno delo z možnostjo več rešitev je bilo izziv za izvedbo sanacije. Rešitve bomo prikazali na predstavitvi v delavnici mladih raziskovalcev.
