| Abstract: | Tato práce analyzuje život Jana Husa a Jeronýma Pražského od raných let až do jejich tragických konců. Cílem práce je kromě analýzy a komparace životů obou mistrů především zjištění, jaké faktory se podílely na skutečnosti, že i přes podobnost a význam těchto dvou učenců se právě Jan Hus stává symbolem husitských válek. Husovi právem tato výsada náležení, neboť si stál za svým učením a pravdou až do tragického konce jeho života, zatímco Jeroným byl nucen své učení odvolat. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis analyzes life of Jan Hus and Jeroným Pražský from their early years until their tragic ends. The aim of the thesis is not only analysis of comparison of their lives, but also detection of factors that contributed to the fact that despite the similarity and importance of these two scholars Jan Hus became a symbol of the Hussite wars. This privilege belongs lawfully to Hus because he stood for the truth and his teachings until the tragic end of his life, while Jeroným was forced to withdraw his teachings. |
