| Abstract: | Jako závěrečnou práci ukončující bakalářské studium jsem vytvořil knihu na krátký příběh od irského spisovatele Jamese Joyce, která původně vznikla jako dopis pro autorova synovce. Děj se odehrává ve francouzském městě Beaugency, které potřebuje postavit most přes širokou řeku a jelikož nemají dostatek znalostí ani peněz na to ho postavit, jejich potřebu rád vyřeší ďábel, který si zamane poněkud jiný způsob odplaty. Knihu jsem plně ilustroval a graficky upravil. Je kreslená pastelkami, za použití hlavních odstínů mátově zelené, sametově fialové, růžově červené a modro-šedé. Formát knihy je širší než vyšší, přibližně velikosti A4, aby hezky vynikly kresby řeky a mostu. Po digitalizaci obrázků a grafické úpravě jsem si nechal knihu vytisknout a svázat v tuhé vazbě V8 v pražském studiu Indigoprint s.r.o. Pevně doufám, že moje finální práce dosáhla určité kvality ilustrované knihy a bude vhodná k prezentaci ateliéru Mediální a didaktické ilustrace, kde jsem studoval. |
| Abstract in different language: | For the final work closing my bachelor studies I have created a book following a short story by an Irish writed James Joyce originally made as a letter for Joyce's nephew. The story is situated in a French town Beaugency. Citizens of Beaugency are in a need of a bridge over a broad river passing by. Since they have no money or skills to build one, the devil is more than happy to arrange it for them in an exchange of a rather odd way of repayment. I fully illustrated and designed the book. The illustrations are drawn by colour pencils in the shades of Distant Green, Velvet Violet, Scarlet Red and Grey Blue. The format is wider than taller, approximately the size of A4 sheet, to nicely show the river and the bridge. After I edited the book digitally I have send it for printing and binding to a Prague studio Indigoprint s.r.o. I hope the final outcome reacher a certain level of professionalism and it will represent the studio of Non-fiction Illustration where I studied. |
