| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá americkým pohledem na druhou berlínskou krizi, která se odehrála v rozděleném německém prostoru v roce 1961. Cílem této bakalářské práce je především analýza postoje a postupu tehdejšího amerického prezidenta Johna Fitzgeralda Kennedyho v návaznosti na krizi. Předkládaná bakalářská práce je pak členěna chronologicky do tří kapitol, přičemž je věnována pozornost německé a berlínské otázce od počátku jejich vývoje v druhé světové válce až do roku 1961. Zároveň je popsán průběh berlínské krize a souběžná jednání mezi hlavními představiteli Sovětského svazu a Spojených států amerických, přičemž zvláštní pozornost je věnována reakci americké diplomacie na danou krizi. Téma v sobě také skýtá prostor pro hodnocení reakcí amerického prezidenta a nastínění některých důsledků krize. |
| Abstract in different language: | This bachelor thesis deals with the American view of the second Berlin crisis, which took place in the divided German area in 1961. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is mainly the analysis of the attitude and progression of the then American President John Fitzgerald Kennedy in related with the crisis. The presented bachelor thesis is then chronologically divided into three chapters, with attention being paid to German and Berlin questions from the beginning of their development in World War II to 1961. At the same time, the course of the Berlin crisis and concurrent negotiations between the leaders of the Soviet Union and the United States of America, with particular attention to the response of the American diplomacy to the crisis, are described. The topic also provides scope for assessing US President responses and outlining some of the consequences of the crisis. |
