Abstrakt v dalším jazyce: This doctoral thesis summarizes the state of the art in the area of Halloysite nanotubes with focus on its perspective utilization in halogen free flame-retardant cable polymer nanocomposites. The introductory chapter focuses on the development of technical standards and European legislation, which have dramatically tightened the requirements for the technical parameters of cables for construction applications in last years, particularly in the field of reaction to fire. Subsequently the attention is paid to the theory of formulation design of polyolefin-based compounds with focus on functional fillers and nanoaddtitives and their influence on the resulting properties of polymer composite and nanocomposite. In the next chapters of the theoretical background the state of the art of polymer nanocomposites with incorporated Halloysite nanotubes is summarized with attention to: physical influences of this nanoadditive on diverse polymer systems, possibilities of surface functionalization and possible directions of utilization. The introduction of the practical part the concept of the experiment, methodology and goal propositions towards to development of the flame-retardant compound are assessed. For this the practical part includes three phases of experiments. In the first phase, attention is paid to a comprehensive description of the effect of Halloysite nanotubes with grafted surface by (3-Aminopropyl)triethoxysilane in polyolefin-based insulation system. For this purpose, model formulations with varying degree of nanofiller were designed and prepared on Brabender laboratory kneader. Second phase is focused on utilization of knowledge from the first phase in the formulation design of flame retardant compounds suitable as a jacket system for low-voltage application in the construction industry. Based on the results, one formulation has been chosen for further modification in the third phase. In the final phase, optimization of chosen formulation for co-kneader technology was carried out and the benchmark analysis with the reference and competitive solution was performed. The completion of this work was realized in cooperation with SILON s.r.o. and led to the creation of a prototype of highly flame-retardant jacket compound, which contains examined nanofiller.
