Abstract in different language: In this work, we are dealing with modeling of fluid-particle interaction, which can play a critical role in the simulations of casting manufacturing processes. The solid particles in presented simulations are restricted to have spherical shapes and are equal or smaller than the grid size. The interactions between fluid and particles are performed using the immersed boundary method and the free surface flow is simulated using the lattice Boltzmann method. This work aims to find an effective methodology appropriate for the optimization of the casting process in the industry.
