| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na osobnost Florence Nightingale a její působení v krymské válce. V práci je také nastíněno pozadí začátku války, její příčiny a důvody zapojení Velké Británie do tohoto konfliktu. Kromě úlohy Florence ve válce, je zmíněn i její přínos na poli ošetřovatelství a medicíny v jejích dalších aktivitách po válce. |
| Abstract in different language: | The thesis is focused on personality of Florence Nightingale and her work in The Crimean War. In the thesis are also described the causes of war and reasons, why Great Britain fought in the war. Part of the thesis is also dedicated to contributions of Florence Nightingale to nursing and medicine. |
