Abstract in different language: Structural health monitoring is a fundamental task to evaluate the condition of the structure and ensure an early detection of any material failure. This is important especially in highly stressed parts of a structure. In turbomachinery, it is in particular a rotating blade that must withstand the action of superheated steam flow. Excessive tension acting in a blade can then decrease its residual life that indicates the structural health of the blade. For the purpose of structural health monitoring of the rotating blades the high cycle fatigue (HCF) analysis tool was developed and is introduced in this paper. The HCF module is based on data processing of signals acquired using blade tip timing (BTT) system and provides the residual life of the blades in several critical points, defined along the blade body. The introduced HCF module was integrated into remote monitoring system (RMS) developed by the authors of this paper. The HCF module together with RMS is described in this paper in detail. The benefits of remote sensing are highlighted as well. Until today, tens of power plants worldwide are involved in presented RMS.
