| Abstract: | První část práce se zabývá vznikem zlatých peněz a jednotlivými kroky, které se musely uskutečnit, aby něco jako zlatý standard vůbec mohlo fungovat. Je to tedy směnný obchod, vznik peněz, a v jaké podobě fungoval zlatý standard a samozřejmě institut centrálních bank, který byl jednou z příčin zrušení klasického zlatého standardu, hlavní příčinou byla ovšem první světová válka. Druhá část se zaobírá problematikou meziválečné éry. Tedy postupu k řešení ekonomických potíží, a transformacemi zlatého standardu. Řešení problematiky kolem Velké hospodářské deprese, která probíhala ve 30. letech. Což bylo jen vyústění mnoha problémů z let minulých. V závěrečné části se zaměřuji na konferenci v Brettonwoods a na nový mezinárodní měnový systém, který byl na této konferenci stvořen. Práce se snaží také popsat fungování a cíle nově vzniklých celosvětových organizací, které měly a dodnes mají za cíl podporu mezinárodního obchodu, a také se snaží o podporu států, které mají ekonomické problémy. |
| Abstract in different language: | Golden standard. Only very few people can imagine to be paying with golden coins today. However, not so long ago, gold was the main currency and it was either directly used for payment or the banknotes were fully backed up by gold. The aim of this theses is to disclose the first half of 20th century in connection to the evolution of the golden standard. The first part of theses deals with the history and development of the gold standard, the way how gold became a currency, as well as what was the stadard of gold exchange, how it evolved and what circumstainces forced individual states to leave this standard. The developments between world wars is described in the second part, including economical theories and concrete steps of especially USA and Great Britain. Focus is given to the period of the world crises, since this time is extremely important for both the gold standard as well as worldwide development. Situation of the gold during the 2nd world war is mentioned only marginaly. Description of the situation at the very end and directly after the end of the 2nd world war constitutes the last part of theses. In particular it deals with Bretton-wood Currency Conference and newly established currency system. |
