| Abstract: | Záměrem této diplomové práce bylo popsat, jakým způsobem přistupují ženy k pole dance, které se této aktivitě věnují alespoň devět měsíců. Dále se zaměřuji na počáteční motivace, na jejich očekávání, a zda tato očekávání byla naplněna. Vzhledem k povaze vertikálně ukotvené taneční tyče a jejímu spojení se striptýzovými kluby se také zaměřuji na proces stigmatizace, která se s tancem u tyče pojí a případné strategie, jaké klientky navštěvující pole dance studia volí, aby o své zálibě informovaly okolí, a zároveň se tomuto stigmatu vyhnuly. Data jsem získala pomocí narativních rozhovorů, jako doplňkovou metodu jsem zvolila participantní pozorování. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis is focused on a new dancing or sport sector called pole dance. The aim of my research is to describe how women, who dedicate to dancing by the pole at least nine months, approach pole dance. Next I concentrate on an initial motivation, their expectations, if the expectations have been fulfilled, what positive or negative aspect they have identified with this kind of physical activity. I also direct my attention at the process of stigmatization that is linked with pole dance. In this context, I am interested in how these women´s closest social surroundings perceive the fact they pursue such an activity and I focus on what are potential strategies that the clients attending pole dance studios choose to inform their environs about this hobby to at the same time avoid such a stigma.I decided to collect the data via narrative interviews with pole dancers and as a complementary method, I select qualitative participatory observation of advanced pole dance classes. |
