Abstract:	Cílem práce je popsat postavení renesančních lékařů v dobovém kontextu, jejich zakotvení v tehdejší společnosti a na příkladu života a díla vybraných českých i evropských osobností zachytit dynamiku vývoje vědy , konkrétně lékařství, v renesanci. V této práci je analyzován postoj těchto osobností k teorii a praxi v lékařství a jejich postavení, úspěchy a přínos pro medicínu i společnost.
Abstract in different language:	The main aim of this thesis is to depict the complexity and difficulties of the renaissance physician in a period setting. In the thesis we examine how the church regulations and doctrine concerning the human body, healing and medicine, affected the development of scientific thought from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.
