Abstract: | Cílem předkládané diplomové práce je navržení experimentálního zařízení pro indukční tavení nízkoteplotních kovů a srovnání výsledků měření s numerickým modelem. |
Abstract in different language: | The objective of the presented thesis is to design experimental equipment for induction melting of metals fusible at low temperatures and to compare the measured results with a numerical model. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes information about potential use of induction heating for processing of liquid metals and it presents the most frequently used elements for construction of induction furnaces. The practical part of the thesis includes a design and construction of a small induction furnace with the parameters adapted for melting of Field´s metal. One of the main issues which need to be addressed is determination of material properties of the employed charge (specific heat capacity, specific weight, thermal conductivity, electric conductivity and permeability) since specialized literature provides practically no information about this topic. Therefore the parameters were determined in the practical part of the thesis, both experimentally or by calculation. For the specific thermal capacity has been also estimated its dependence on temperature. Further, the thesis deals with measurement of induction inside and outside the assembled induction furnace and determination of dependence of the melting temperature on heating time. In conclusion the results have been verified with a numerical model. |
