Abstract in different language: The aim of the article in its first part is twofold: 1) to offer an overview of the Czech anthropological discourse since its establishment as a separate field of study in the 1990s (special attention is paid to the process of separation of anthropological discourse from the discourse of Czechoslovak ethnology), and 2) to summarize Czech(oslovak) studies on ethnicity (without regard to its scientific-discourse background). In the second part of the text, the focus shifts to one special part of Czech academia – the Faculty of Humanities of the Charles University in Prague. Here the position of FH CU is then analyzed in both mentioned contexts (in Czech anthropology and the study of ethnicity).
