| Abstract: | Autor ve své diplomové práci uvažuje nad estetickou kategorií "vznešena", která má tradici odvíjející se od antiky až po dnešek. Provádí srovnání dvou filosofů, Immanuela Kanta a Jean Françoise Lyotarda, jejich přístupu k významnému estetickému termínu "vznešena", kdy cílem práce je představit "vznešeno", jakožto estetický pojem, jehož význam se v průběhu času proměňuje. Autor nejprve podrobněji představil hlavní rysy Kantova konceptu "vznešena", který umožňuje spatřit "vznešenost" jako model pro odlišení diference mezi teoretickým a praktickým rozumem a mezi rozumovým a smyslovým vnímáním. Toto rozdělení přetrvává do dneška, a vede k nevyhnutelnému konfliktu, který vyplývá z nekompatibilnosti mezi rozumovými a smyslovými schopnostmi. V druhé části své práce autor představuje dílo J. F. Lyotarda, který využil Kantem definované "vznešeno" k vysvětlení přístupu moderního/postmoderního umělce k vlastní, někdy pro současného diváka neuchopitelné, tvorbě ve výtvarném umění. Autor podrobněji představuje Lyotardovy esejistické úvahy, které slouží k objasnění současného umění reprezentované avantgardou. Na závěr autorovo práce je "vznešeno" ukázáno jako opozice krásna. Tato opozice napomáhá Lyotardovy k polarizaci společnost na příznivce techniky, redy-made, která slouží ke zpodobňování krásna, proti příznivcům malířství, kteří upřednostňují zobrazení "vznešena". Lyotard touto opozicí potvrdil relativizaci společnosti, kterou Kant již předjímal ve své filosofii. Práce je vedena na hranici estetiky a kulturologie se snahou spíše předestřít a popularizovat téma, než provést detailní ponor do bezesporu důležitého estetického pojmu. |
| Abstract in different language: | In this Master´s thesis, its author presents his considerations concerning the category of "the sublime", which has been existing since the antiquity up to now. The author compares two philosophers, Immanuel Kant and Jean Françoise Lyotard and their attitudes towards the aesthetic term of "the sublime", thus presenting "the sublime" as an aesthetic concept changing its meaning in the course of time. First, the author describes in detail the essential features of Kant's concept of "the sublime", which allows understanding of "the sublime" as a model for differentiating between the theoretical and practical reason and between sense-perception and reason. This division has survived up to now, causing an inevitable conflict following from the incompatibility of intellectual and perceptual powers. Subsequently, the author portrays J. F. Lyotard and his work, in which Lyotard exploited Kant's definition of "the sublime" to explain the attitude of modern/postmodern artists to their pieces of fine art, sometimes ungraspable for the contemporary audience. The author then analyses Lyotard's essayistic considerations, which are used to clarify contemporary arts represented by the avant-gardes. Finally, the concept of "the sublime" is shown by the author as the opposite of "the beautiful". This opposition helps Lyotard to polarize the society between the tech-fans, ready-made, whose purpose is to portray "the beautiful", and the art-fans, who prefer depicting "the sublime". By this opposition, Lyotard confirmed the revitalization of the society, as it has been anticipated by Kant's philosophy. The thesis was conducted to follow the boundary between the branches of aesthetics and culturology, with the aim at raising and popularizing the subject, rather than fully immersing in this undoubtedly significant aesthetic concept. |
