| Abstract: | Oblast za polárním kruhem se v posledních letech těší zvýšené pozornosti. Je to způsobeno změnou klimatu, zlepšujícím se technologickým vybavením a také zásobami nerostných surovin, které se v oblasti nacházejí. Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o sporu na právo těžby nerostných surovin v Arktidě. Cílem práce je zachytit dosavadní vývoj v Arktidě a potvrdit či vyvrátit, zda bude nynější právní režim dostačující k vyřešení územních sporů v oblasti. Velkým problémem je, že státy v Arktidě nemají definitivně vyřešené hranice. |
| Abstract in different language: | The region above the Arctic Circle has received much attention in recent years due to global climate change, better technological equipment and substantial mineral resources reserves. This bachelor thesis deals with the dispute over the raw material extraction in the Arctic and its aim is to outline current development of the region and to analyse whether the current legal regime can manage territorial disputes in the High North. The significant problem is that the states in the Arctic have not definitely defined their marine boundaries. |
