| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá politickým systémem rentiérských států, kde konkrétně sleduje případ Kuvajtu. Cílem předkládané práce je zmapovat protesty arabského a jara a posoudit, zda měly nějaký vliv na politický systém Kuvajtu. První část práce je teoretická a jsou zde rozebírány pojmy jako renta, rentiér či rentiérský stát. V další části práce je pak už konkrétně sledován případ Kuvajtu. |
| Abstract in different language: | Potential thesis focuses on rentier states political system, with particular stress placed on Kuwait. The first part of thesis is theoretical. The author defines terms rent or rentier state. Further, the thesis analyses the correlation of oil and the lack of democracy in the countries of the Persian Gulf. Oil is mentioned as a key factor that affects both the economic and the political life and has a major influence on the functioning of the entire Kuwaiti society. |
