Abstract:	Práce pojednává o participaci NATO v libyjské občanské válce. Konkrétně o účasti třech největších států NATO. USA, Francii a Velké Británii. Cílem práce je analyzovat politickou legitimizaci a vojenskou podporu operace ze strany těchto tří států se zaměřením na to, zda by byla operace uskutečnitelná bez participace USA.
Abstract in different language:	This thesis is about military intervention in Libya in 2011. Concretely about NATO operation called Unified Protector. This operation lasted seven months and eighteen members of NATO militarily contributed. Out of these eighteen states, three of them were crucial for its successful completion. USA, France and United Kingdom. The goal of this thesis is to find out, whether this operation would be possible to realize without participation of USA, based on the degree of military and policy support of these states to the OUP.
