| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na překlady americké literatury do češtiny v sedmdesátých letech dvacátého století. Práce podává obraz žánrového spektra americké literatury, které se v Československu objevuje v tomto desetiletí. Dokládá, které literární žánry byly překládány četněji a které méně. Nastiňuje důvody překladu jednotlivých žánrů a děl. Reflektuje přijetí amerických spisovatelů a jejich děl v českém prostředí. Dále pak představuje české překladatele a nakladatelství, která díla v Československu v sedmdesátých letech vydávala. Cílem diplomové práce je vyobrazit žánrové zastoupení českých překladů americké beletristické tvorby, nastínit tendence a důvody, které vedly k jednotlivým překladům, a zároveň také porovnat stav překladové produkce sedmdesátých let s lety šedesátými. |
| Abstract in different language: | This thesis deals with the American literature in Czech language in the "Seventies". The thesis describes the genre spectrum of American literature which is introduced to Czechoslovakia in this decade. It shows which literary genres were translated more often and which less. Further, this work suggests the reasons of particular translations. It also explores the reception of the American authors and their works in Czech environment. Besides, it presents Czech translators and publishers that contributed to the publication of these books in Czechoslovakia in the "seventies". The aim of this work is: to provide a genre representation of the Czech translations of American fiction; to refer to the tendencies and reasons which preceded the individual translations; and to compare the state of the Czechoslovak translation production in the "seventies" with the "sixties". |
